BARBÉ opened its first space in Ghent in 2018 that was transformed from an old horse stable and garage into two exhibition spaces. In 2021 they added a 3rd white box space to their location making it a total. In 2023 BARBÉ opened a second location in Ghent in the Baudelostraat in Ghent.

The gallery represents international, both emerging and established artists in various domains. The gallery supports and promotes the artists it’s working with by focussing on curated exhibitions and by supporting the artists throughout every step of their career. Since 2023 they have started releasing publications featuring the artists they represent. The gallery often organizes exhibitions at various locations, in addition to the exhibitions in the two permanent gallery spaces.
